Late Night Shopping 2011

The date for this year’s Late Night Christmas Shopping Event is fast approaching and is taking place on Friday 9th December 2011. We are planning to make this year’s event the best ever. We will be having carol singers, bands, and all stalls will be covered for the first time.

In previous years, this has been a very successful event, and one that YOUR Chamber is pleased to arrange. Most of the High Street will remain open, as is tradition, to welcome customers both old and new, at this informal and festive event. Many will be offering refreshments as well.

All stalls have now been allocated with a variety of stall holders and produce.

For the first time, Oxford Street at the top of the High Street will be fully pedestrianised, linking the Market Cross area safely with the High Street.

  • Town Crier to open the event at 6pm
  • Many shops in the High Street will be open until 9pm
  • Over 30 covered stalls in the High Street
  • Food stalls, choirs and street entertainers (choir starting at 7pm)
  • Local organisations' and charities' stalls
  • The library will be open for children's crafts and mince pies!
  • There will also be a fundraiser taking place in Malmesbury Town Hall, in aid of Lea Pre-School
  • Park and Ride will be running throughout the evening
