Redemption scheme receives unanimous opposition
Wiltshire Council are due to roll out a redemption scheme for towns that want it, whereby the cost of a ticket can be refunded by voluntarily participating shops when a customer pays over a certain amount of money. The level of required spend to qualify would be decided by the individual shop.
However, a recent survey of town centre shops in Malmesbury has shown unanimous opposition for the proposals, with shop keepers requesting that the Chamber lobbies instead for lower ticket prices.
If you would like the Chamber to take your views into account when making recommendations to Wiltshire Council please ensure that you contact us, if we've not yet contacted you!
