The aim of the Chamber of Commerce is to look after the commercial interest of its members. By virtue of our activities we are able to contribute significantly, in various ways to the community.
The main functions of the Chamber are:
The 2009 Annual General Meeting took place on January 28th at the Malmesbury Garden Centre at which the officers and committee for the year were elected. Afterwards Cllr. Patrick Goldstone gave a presentation on the Business Fair that is likely to take place at the beginning of October.
The Chamber organises various activities on behalf of local businesses, one of the principal ones being the Christmas late night shopping. In 2008 it took place on Friday December 5th, and included:
Committee meetings are held monthly, some of which are ‘Open Executive Meetings’ where all members are welcome.
We are a member of the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce.
